Can I make my Dreamcast stop being region locked?

My friends bought me Sonic Adventure 2 for my birthday, but it is a Japanese copy of the game so I assume it is not gonna work on my Dreamcast. It has not arrived yet, so idk if it works or not, but for when it does can some one give me a link to a guide or give me a thorough explanation on what to do to make the game work?
