Cleaning up scuffed fat PS3 cover

I just finished up taking my scuffed fat PS3 cover and trying to make it look like new. I started by sanding the cover with 400 grit sandpaper then progressed until I got to 3000 grit. After that I did 6 passes of Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Ultra-Cut Compound followed by 4 passes of Meguiar's M20532 Mirror Glaze Ultra Finishing Polish.

The results were great, it looks brand new and I just thought I’d share in case anyone else was thinking about doing the same thing. I tried to get good pictures showing no visible micro scratches. Hopefully this helps people who want to try the same!

The pictures attached show how the cover looked at the beginning then through the process ending with how it looked after polishing.
