Gameboy Advance Volume Slider Issue

[Released: 1989] The Game Boy is Nintendo's second handheld system following the Game & Watch series. Despite many other technologically superior handheld consoles introduced during its lifetime, the Game Boy was a tremendous success.

Gameboy Advance Volume Slider Issue

Post by /gameboy »

I tried to replace the volume slider of a GBA, because it was creating noise. In the process of removing it i screwed up and ripped the pads. I had to run traces to VR2-3, to pin 10 of the AMP and to R14. I think that shoud be all. I found no shorts and all the connections seem to be alright, however i only get very quiet sound (its only barely audible). If i remove the connection to R14 i think i get full volume. At the VOL point i can measure between 5k and 16k when everything is connected. I'm not sure if this range is ok (cant find specs on the AMP chip).

At this point i'm totally lost and got no idea where the issue could be. Do you guys got any suggestions what i could look for?
