Opened up a pokemon gold and found an horrendous battery swap and the game doesn’t boot

[Released: 1989] The Game Boy is Nintendo's second handheld system following the Game & Watch series. Despite many other technologically superior handheld consoles introduced during its lifetime, the Game Boy was a tremendous success.

I just bought a copy of pokemon gold as “doesn’t hold a save”. So i decide to open it up, but it wasn’t opening so i forced a little the lid and saw that. The guy did a disaster without soldering new tabs and probably broke something because there is the glitchy nintendo logo when trying to play it. I’ve removed the battery and the tabs now but I don’t know what can be wrong, i saw a corroded trace(?) under the big hole of the screw and on top of the contacts, could be that the problem?
