Help with diagnosing an issue

Post by /n64 »

Just got a N64 for Christmas, I’m a fairly tech oriented person, and I’m trying to save this console from dying, she picked it up as a nice gesture and everything has gone wrong. The controller broken and 2 of the 3 games wouldn’t start. After doing a good clean with alcohol on most of the surfaces(on the games) the console will not turn on at all. The red light just refuses to show itself now. Is there anything I can do to fix the issue and maybe rescue this gift?
