Headphone jack on model 1 genesis only outputs on left ear?

Headphone jack on model 1 genesis only outputs on left ear?
Pretty self-explanatory, when I plug in headphones to my genesis, sound only comes out from the left ear, on the right ear there's nothing apart from a few crackles
