Mark III video hook-up options for U.S. TV

[Released: 1985] One of the most unusual features of the Sega Master System is its dual media inputs: one cartridge slot and one card slot. The card slot accepted small cards about the size of a credit card.

Mark III video hook-up options for U.S. TV

Post by /markiiisystem »

I recently was able to nab a Mark III unit for really cheap. I'm curious and a little confused about what options I have to hook it up to (unfortunately) a more modern TV (Samsung LCD flat panel) as that is my only option at the very moment.

Is there anything wrong with getting a compatible composite video cable? I've read that this hookup requires so some sort of "booster" option but I can't really find anything but some custom built options for this. I know the Mark III is the very first Sega console to have this option but it seems it requires a bit of know-how to use...

Outside of that I suppose I just get something like this
