I'm thinking about getting some broken Saturns to repair? Do these descriptions sound repairable?

[Released: 1994] While it was popular in Japan, the Saturn failed to gain a similar market share in North America and Europe against its main competitors. The Saturn's dual-CPU architecture was the source of some difficulty for developers.

What are some common things to look out for and are these broken descriptions more ubiquitous for issues that plague Saturns? I always like to buy ones with just a faulty disc drive because then I can just mod it flash storage. My basic understanding is that the Saturn is a very reliable and well built console especially considering how quiet it is compared to the Dreamcast but I'd be curious to know if the revisions were that much different, my biggest nitpick is the cmos battery dying loses saves if you don't have a memory cart or mod it.
