Game Hardware Q&A • Naomi 2 - seems to be overheating

Post by ArcadeOtaku »

A very late reply but I've been working on a lot of Naomi 1/2 motherboards lately and this is a failing ram problem. When the ram test fails to find the bad one I've found freeze spray to work very well to help find which one(s) are causing the issue. You'll find the graphics glitches or slow down goes away as you cool down the bad ram. Replacing them all is an option too but there's a LOT, freeze spray can narrow it down to the actual chip or as a found two chips the one you freeze or the one in the exact spot on the opposite side of the board.
