Affordable multicarts with save features?

Post by /nes »

I just learned about multicarts and was thinking about getting one for my original NES. I'm new to this technology so I don't understand the ins and outs so well.

I found one that seems like an amazing deal for just $10 ("Region Free NTSC and PAL 8 Bit Multi Games 275 in 1 Cartridge for NES"), but will it load the games right and let me save? I really want to be able to play multiple save games at once, if possible. Can a cheap multicart do that, or do I need something fancier?

In other threads, I'd seen the EverDrive N8 recommended. What are the advantages of going with that over a cheap cart?
