Graphic bug on ps2

Hi everybody, I recently found my uncle old ps2 and so I’ve decided to play gta San Andreas again for nostalgia, but I have a few problems, first of all and the major one is that, sometimes, whole part of the city texture can’t load or take a very long time (at least 10 minutes) which is quite annoying and I would be grateful if it’s a simple problem easily patchable (by cleaning the consol lentils or something else). Also, I can’t do ambulance mission since pressing the R3 button will freeze the game for 5 minutes, is that fixeable ? Thanks for your help and hoping it can be repaired because I forgot how much the ps2 is a banger
