Putting DS Lite in Phat DS Shell possible?

Sup!
I Would like to own a Phat DS since I appreciate it's superior design, sturdyness, uniqueness, and superior buttons (and speakers, afaik).

However, the things on the screen are like an elder scrolls character with a 100% chameleon enchantment on... they're not there.

I've thought about it and researched simple backlight screen replacement a la backlit original GBA, but as far as I leared this is impossible because the good new (lite) screens have an added power director chip, screen...
