Dpad not working in games after Autobleem

Hiya. I just recently installed Autobleem. Everything seems to be in order. The USB stick in in the player two port with all the files + new games on there and I can navigate the menus just fine. and if I take the stick out and just play the regular built in games it works perfectly. but the moment I enter a ps1 game my dpad just stops functioning. I put in the other controller (in the player 1 slot) too which hadnt been taken out of the packaging at all yet and that one didn't work either. Would anyone have any idea whats going on here? and if so do you happen to know how to fix this? I'd be eternally grateful!
