TurboGrafx16 to OSSC Sync Loss

I have been playing around with RGBs out of my expansion port (experimented with both an Engine Block and cheap Chinese RGB Board). I have been running it into my Otaku Scart switcher with a packapunch Genesis 2 RGB cable from RetroGamingCablesUK and then out via a scart cable into the OSSC.

This is the only console I have where I get random sync loss during gameplay. I tried ditching the switch and running the RGB straight from the console into the OSSC. That didn’t solve the problem. So then I upped the V sync threshold slightly and that seemed to solve it. When I went back to the switcher setup the problem resumed. Wondering if others have had this problem. Possible signal degradation or are there inherent issues with a switcher like this?
