Broken left thumb stick

[Released: 2001] The GameCube, with the Game Boy Player attachment, it is able to play Game Boy/Color, and Game Boy Advance titles. It's successor, the Wii, supports backward compatibility. Panasonic released a DVD player hybrid Gamecube.

Broken left thumb stick

I have an orange spice OEM controller and the left thumb stick feels a little rigid and can be pushed in and when pushed in it feels even more rigid and just clunky. You can pull it back out back to normal again but it still just feels eh. Anyone know what the problem is or how I could fix it?
