Controller port gets 7.5v

[Released: 1990] The SNES was the best-selling console of the 16-bit era despite its relatively late start and the fierce competition it faced. The console was able to run some of the first three-dimensional video games on consoles, beginning with Star Fox.

Controller port gets 7.5v

Post by /snes »

I have a Super Nintendo SNS-001 and the controller port gets 7.5v dc. Everywhere I look online for pin outs they say that it should be 5v dc. I have 3 controllers ( two original one not) that don’t work at all but if I wiggle the port they seem to work. Is this something that I should be worried about or need to fix?
