Have i messed up the gold conversion?

I wanted to surprise my son with game pass ultimate, i read the conversion trick and bought 3 years’ worth of gold in turkey with a VPN now when I want to buy Gamepass ultimate it states that I currently have a subscription for anther region. Did I mess it up?
