Question about xbox bios

Question about xbox bios

I started modding consoles about 2 years ago and everybody was recommending that I flash ind bios to the eeprom, which I did but now with insignia finally being dropped id like to be able to connect to xbox live. However, the insignia setup says that the bios I have blocks xbox live. I also saw somewhere that there is a tool that unblocks xbox live but the only problem is I dont think that tool works with ind bios so what do I do? should I reflash a different bios? What are my options here?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
