Replacing 1.0 caps with 3300uf ?

Replacing 1.0 caps with 3300uf ?

Can i use 3 3300uf caps to replace the 5 1500uf caps in my v1.0?
I just got a v1.0 system, and the CPU caps are no good. I have some spare ones from a v1.6 cap replacement, and was wondering if i can use them in this system? I know later revisions use only 3 caps by the CPU
