DraStic help, feel like an idiot

Everything on my classic is running perfectly with Project Eris, except DraStic. I’ve been able to get everything configured and done except no matter what I do, DraStic won’t recognize the right thumb stick on my DualShock 4 connected via an 8BitDo. I’ve read I need to put it in FPS mode, can’t find anything for that, I’ve read it needs to be edited in Retroarch, changed a setting in there to Retro Analog for my controller and now I can’t do anything in RetroArch.
I’ve worked on this for hours trying to figure out how to get the right analog stick to function as the stylus, and I’m getting nowhere.
