Difference between s-video and rgb/component?

[Released: 1994] Sony entered into an agreement with Nintendo to develop a CD-ROM attachment, for the Super Nintendo. Due to contractual problems it was never released, and instead, a modified version was introduced by Sony called the PlayStation.

Difference between s-video and rgb/component?

I wanted to get rgb ir component cables and they are both out of stock. How much of an improvement are they over s-video? Sucks the hd retro vision are on back order till February and the retro access rgb are supposedly coming in stock this month. I bought oem s video cable and just wondering how good it will look.
