Need help with N64RGB Csync Scart wiring

Post by /n64 »

I have Tim Worthington N64 RGB mod v3 and I am wanting to use Csync to a framemeister. I have ordered the following cables from Retro Access. I've done a ton of reading but found confusing/contradictory answers.
My plan is to soldier the CS# (clean sync/TTL sync) terminal to Pin 3 on the N64 multi-out. The cable I ordered says:
"This cable is attenuated with a 330 ohm resistor on the csync line. The cable contains 220uf Nichicon or Panasonic capacitors on the RGB lines. These are mounted on a PCB inside the SCART hood."
Having the resistor on the csync line means you use TTL sync (CS# terminal on mod board) , not the CS75. Am I correct?
I've also read you can use pin 9 on the multi-out for sync, but I thought that was for luma sync. Do I need to cut the trace for Pin 9? I assume I need to cut the pin 3 trace if I'm putting csync on it.
Anyone install Tim Worthington N64 RGB mod and using csync that can help me? Thanks!
