Getting a smart card reader to work on RPi4 running Ubuntu - support requested.

Post by /RaspberryPi »

Hi all,
I'm trying to get a USB smart card reader working on Ubuntu with Firefox, running on a pi 4b. I have installed: sudo apt install libpcsclite1 pcscd libccid libpcsc-perl pcsc-tools libnss3-tools. And I've run pcsc-scan to verify the card reader is connected and working properly. I ran sudo systemctl enable pcsc and confirmed it's running. The problem I have now is getting Firefox to recognize the smart card reader. I'm assuming it's under the Privacy and Security settings under Security Devices, but from there, I'm lost and can't find any good info on the internets. Anyone able to help? Thanks in advance.
