Modern Warfare 2 Crashing and Lagging a Lot for PS5, PS4 Players

As expected on launch day, Modern Warfare 2 crashing and lagging errors are plaguing PS5 and PS4 players. In a poll posted on the official MW2 Reddit, one user has experienced six crashes within two hours on PS5 and has asked whether other players have gone through the same technical issues. At the time of this writing, 114 out of 186 people (that’s about 60%) say that they have, across all platforms. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Modern Warfare 2 problems on PlayStation consoles (even if the exclusive benefits are neat).

Other users commenting on the poll linked earlier say that they have gotten four blue screen crashes on PS4, or haven’t been able to get a match at all on PS4. If crashes are impacting you as well, you can try out several solutions here (via GameRevolution).
Some users have also reported Vault Edition content not appearing on PS5, though it looks like restarting the console and/or restoring the licenses in the PS5 settings is a possible solution. Last but not least, a few players who have been able to get into a multiplayer match have experienced frame rate stutters and lags when trying to sprint, as well as menu screens for loadouts and settings strangely popping up during a game.
