About the battery mod

I've been searching for high quality batteries and I came up with the idea of riping the cell off of a power bank, but I want to know the difference between the 3,7v of the original psp cell and a 5v power bank one, I don't have much knowledge when it comes to electrical stuff. Can anyone help me with that?
