Cant connect on WIFI

I cant connect to wifi using my raspberrypi 400. Ive tried reinstalling the OS the firmware and still no luck.
If i do ‘ifconfig wlan0 up’ it returns ‘SIOCSIFFLAGS: input/output error’
I am starting to think its a hardware issue but the interface still shows up so i dont know. Been stuck on this for days any suggestions are welcome
