What's the greatest controller for Game Boy Player in 2022?

[Released: 2001] The GameCube, with the Game Boy Player attachment, it is able to play Game Boy/Color, and Game Boy Advance titles. It's successor, the Wii, supports backward compatibility. Panasonic released a DVD player hybrid Gamecube.

What's the greatest controller for Game Boy Player in 2022?

I've been playing games on the Game Boy Player with an actual GBA connected via the Link Cable. However, I am kind of tired of the small d-pad. (obviously this also rules out Gamecube controllers proper)
I've been Googling and found some options such as adapter cables for Super Nintendo controllers, enormously expensive Hori controller, etc. But all of those results were a few years old. What has everyone been using for this? And are there low-latency wireless options as well?
