Upgrading a Prebuilt Build?

Hi all,
I've been running a nice build that I found on Arcade Punks for awhile, but it's running an older version of Autobleem, around 0.71 I think. What's the process to upgrade to 1.0,? Are builds usually tied into a specific version of Autobleem? Or, am I better off with a fresh install, then copying the roms and themes over manually? Thanks for any guidance.
