PS1 Not reading Final Fantasy 7

[Released: 1994] Sony entered into an agreement with Nintendo to develop a CD-ROM attachment, for the Super Nintendo. Due to contractual problems it was never released, and instead, a modified version was introduced by Sony called the PlayStation.

PS1 Not reading Final Fantasy 7

So about a month ago I bought a playstation 1, and a copy of FF7 and then the dual copy of ff1 and ff2. And the Final fantasy 7 hasn't been booting but the copy of 1 and 2 do boot and work fine. so I acquired a replacement for ff7 thinking it was the disk, but that didn't work and it doesn't boot either final fantasy 7 copy but it does work with final fantasy 1. Does anyone know what is happening?
