n64 controller on ps classic?

n64 controller on ps classic?

so i bought the hyperkin n64 to usb adapter.
the good news is it can detect there is a controller. bad news is: when i it asks to pick a button for "X" and i press a "C" button on the n64 controller. it doesn't read it.
anyone know how i a can get around this and get the c buttons to work?
