Hudson Soft software on non NEC systems

The HuCard is a ROM cartridge in the form of a card, designed for NEC's PC-Engine and PC Engine SuperGrafx video game consoles, which premiered in 1987 and 1989, respectively. In the United States, where marketed as the TurboGrafx-16, the HuCard is alternately called the TurboChip.

Hudson Soft software on non NEC systems

Post by /turboG16 »

So what gives? Why were they making games for the Genesis? SNES I can sort of understand because they were producing for the NES long before but seriously why voluntarily release competing games on other systems which might lead people away from your own platform? I loved the games on the SNES from Hudson and it helped me buy one after having a Turbografx for 2yrs.
