if I beat Castlevania on my ps5 does/should that count as beating it?

Really enjoying the game but I haven't gotten quite good enough to beat it in one sitting, so the ps5 saves are nice.
The other option is getting good enough on PS5 to beat nes in one sitting, or should I move on to 2 then 3 then 4?
Edit: part of the question involves this: is the ps5 version an exact translation of the game, or is it slightly modified to be easier in any way or scaled or anything
