Project Eric’s stopped working

I got a new PS classic a couple of days ago and initially successfully installed Project Eris on it with a 32GB usb stick, I then changed to a new 64gb usb stick (I changed the names on both usb sticks to SONY) and reformatted it to NTFS then added a number of games to the transfer folder. I plugged it into the Classic and it worked fine, no problem. I decided to put more games onto the usb afterwards and when I plugged it in again, Project Eric’s would no longer start up past the health and safety screen, it would simply turn off, powered it up again and started it via the main menu screen and the same result.
Does anyone know what the problem is? Would I need to delete the contents of the usb, reformat it then use a backup to get it working again?
