240x240 screen not working on raspberry pi 4b

Post by /RaspberryPi »

I followed this tutorial to try and get a 240x240 screen working on my raspberry pi:
https://www.spotpear.com/index/study/detail/id/460.html
although the tutorial is for the adafruit version I was substituting t with a clone:
https://www.amazon.com/PiTFT-Display-24 ... C72&sr=8-6
the tutorial is basically for installing the drivers to make a 240x240 screen work.
After following the tutorial, no image appeared on the screen, and the HDMI output gave a screen extremely similar to this one:
https://github.com/rootzoll/raspiblitz/issues/753

Not sure if this screen is normal, and also not sure why there is zero video output on the screen (lit black). Can someone help with input on this, or tell me a method of using a 240x240 or smaller lcd that works?
