Having trouble getting the PICO SDK for C++ configured and set up on OpenSUSE

Post by /RaspberryPi »

as the title says, I have a laptop running OpenSUSE Tumbleweed... Almost every single tutorial I've seen how how to get VSCode + Buildessential etc, and the SDK installed, uses either debian/ubuntu based scripts, or similar. I have not been able to find any guidance on how to set up the build environment on an OpenSUSE, Redhat, or any other variation of linux. I realize that this is because most people are using Ubuntu, or Raspbian to do their development.
I've tried installing G++, and getting the SDK pulled down using GIT, I create a simple blink.c program, try to compile it, and it runs into all sorts of issues not being able to find the includes for the SDK etc (even though they're referenced).
Any help would be hugely appreciated!
