SPI display interface minimum pins to function

I have a waveshare circular display that I want to integrate into a project however I want to disable the touch screen. I am wondering if I can omit some of the pins or if it needs to be on the software side. If I can which pins are not needed. Haven't found anything concrete on other forums.
