Remote access from abroad

Post by /RaspberryPi »

Hi, I have a pi 4 4gb, am currently abroad and wishing I’d set it up so I can use my own Uk IP address at home for things like buying a lottery ticket (geo-restricted, and even though I have VPN, none of the UK IP addresses work).
My question : how do I set up a Pi for next time ; and if that’s all I want to do (ie be able to use my own home Ip address), would I be better off using my Synology NAS - I should point out my Synology SS220J isn’t powerful enough to run a docker hence why I’m posting in the PI forum.
