RPI400 bad SDRAM memory - any way to fix this'

Post by /RaspberryPi »

I have a RPI 400 that I used for quite a bit, and then it was stuck in the drawer for many months.
I go to boot it up, and I'm getting 8 blinks on the lights. I believe that means the SDRAM chip(s) are bad?
I haven't opened it up yet, but I assume the memory is surface mount soldered to the board.
Is there any hope for fixing this? Anyone done that?
