raspberry temperature control

Post by /RaspberryPi »

Image Hello my dear raspberrys,
for a university project I am trying to build a small circuit to control heating coils. As input should serve a temperature sensor, the measured values then evaluated via a PID control (small Python script). Afterwards a relay is to be controlled as output variable, which can switch a socket on or off. In the socket is then a heating coil or similar plugged in.
With the Raspberry and with Python I already have some experience, but before I order the parts I would like a "go" from someone with a little more experience. Also, I'm not sure how to connect the relay to the socket. Maybe someone can help me with this?
About a short assessment whether it would work and possibly some information about the control of the socket with the help of the relay I would be very happy.
I picked some sensors already, but i am unsure if i can post the links to the products here.
