I've got a raspberry pi 1, and I recently bought this camera
https://thepihut.com/products/raspberry-pi-night-vision-camera-ir-cut. From what I've read either I've got the option to use an earlier version of raspberry pi OS which allows for auto IR cut, or I can hook up the camera to the GPIO pin. I'm happy with either approach, sounds like the OS route would be easier but I do have the cables for the pin.
My questions are:
- which OS version do I need for the autoIR cut and are there many downsides to using an older OS just for this feature?
- Which pin am I supposed to attach to? I know where to attach it to on the camera but not sure about the board.
