How do I transfer a NNID from one system to another if I only have access to one?

I sold a 2ds xl to someone on kijiji yesterday. The 2ds xl had a small crack which didn't really affect the performance so I didn't mention it before selling but the person today became worried that it would break so he asked if he could trade it for my other 2ds xl. I decided to accept the trade but I was unable to system transfer because 1: I had already done so this Sunday and 2: I didn't have both systems on hand.
Would Nintendo be willing to help? You could argue that I shouldn't have system transferred in the first place but I want to see if I could reclaim access to my ID
