Hydra Mini, Scart, and SSDS3

Post by /turboG16 »

Setup:
TG-16 > SSDS3 > RGC Genesis Model 2 Scart cable > Hydra Mini > RetroTink 5X
All firmware is up to date. Everything has been turn on and off again. Rebooted 3 times.
Trying to survey the situation and troubleshoot the issues I've encountered: Strange Hydra Mini sync/lock on behavior ONLY with SSDS3.
Genesis Model 2, same RGC Genesis Model 2 Scart cable, same Hydra Mini to RetroTink 5X: No issues.
Syncs right up.
Directly connecting the SSDS3 to the RetroTink 5X works without issue.
Tried each port on the Hydra Mini with with the Genesis: They all appear to work.
Have not pulled or plugged any Scart cable while the Hydra Mini is powered.
There is some sound coming from the Hydra when it rotates to whatever the port used with the SSDS3; AND it will work for a second or 2 if you press the middle button on the Hydra (the low pass/HD filter)
Not sure if this is a signal issue with the SSDS3, sync issues with the Scart cable, or something else.
Anyone encounter this?
