Did I get the Japanese version of Nintendo Mini Classic?

Bought a Nintendo Mini Classic on eBay. Discovered Super Mario Bros. 3 is in Japanese and Super Mario Bros. music plays about 15% faster than it should. The system came with the poster so it’s definitely not the European version. For context I live in the USA. Regardless I’m keeping the system!
