Anyone have experience with the Power Base Mini on clone hardware?

[Released: 1985] One of the most unusual features of the Sega Master System is its dual media inputs: one cartridge slot and one card slot. The card slot accepted small cards about the size of a credit card.

The site states it works on the Retron 5 and can’t guarantee anywhere else. I have a Super Retro Trio Plus by Retro-Bit I’d like to use it on. I think I read on forum posts the system does accept the mini but I’d like that to be reaffirmed before moving forward.
Anyone have any issues with the mini on any other clone hardware?
