Snes classic mini

I got a mini a few months back. I've been playing Earthbound, an I discovered I can't delete the suspend points. I press select, nothing happens. Also, this rewind feature. All it does it take me back to the last game I selected. It also will not save any game "in cartridge". So now, I have the dilemma of I can play, four times, but after that I can't save, because I can't delete or replace any supspend points. Did I get a knock off? Can't find anything online about the snes, only nes. My nes works fine. Help
