2DS Battery works, won't charge.

[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

2DS Battery works, won't charge.

I KNOW the battery works, it powered my 2DS. I KNOW the charger port works, the indicator light turns on. But the light turns off after a few seconds, and the device will not turn on.
I've tried removing and replacing the ribbon cables, but I'm at a loss now. Help?
