2DSXL Battery Life

[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

2DSXL Battery Life

Just got one today as a wedding gift and on my first charge I've gotten nearly 3 hours of New Leaf gameplay with 4 brightness and wifi on. The battery indicator is still showing 3 quarters full which I'm sure will soon show half.
What's your experience with battery on your 2DSXL? I've read online that it didn't get that good of battery but mine to be doing good so far.
Thoughts?
