Disappearance of the 3DS in my country

I live in Chile, and yesterday I noticed that the 3DS has practically disappear in here. Starting of, I was mildly interested in how the eShop was over here, as I have my settings set as USA so I have access to more games on the eShop. I changed into Chilean settings, and I found that the eShop was completely barren. There was the YouTube app, the MHG Save Data Transfer App, and that's about it. I was shocked. Then, I looked at the websites of Local Game Stores, and saw that many of them no longer sell 3DS games, and the ones that do sell 3DS games only sell like 3 or 4. It's kinda depressing seeing such a beloved console be gone like this. I just wanted to vent.
