Question about PAL console with NTSC games

[Released: 1996] The console's design was revealed to the public for the first time in late Spring 1994. The N64 console was frequently marketed as the world's first 64-bit gaming system and sold 500,000 units in North America during its first four months.

Question about PAL console with NTSC games

Post by /n64 »

I want a special PAL console (just for the shell essentially), but I want it to work with my NTSC game collection. I understand the cartridge tray needs replaced/swapped for them to fit. But what I'm confused about is the whole 50/60hz differences and how to go about that.
I'm going to assume using a NTSC power supply won't simply make the PAL console work for me.
So if it's not as easy as that, would just straight up swapping out the PAL insides with the insides of my NTSC console work? Same screws and mounts etc? Basically just shell swap is the best way to put it.
Any insight would be appreciated!
