Any tips or tricks to beating some of these games?

My Core Grafx Mini finally arrived. Wow! I forgot how hard some of the games from the 8-bit era are to beat. I'm probably just rusty, but besides Neutopia, I'm lucky if I last over a minute and 30 till the "Game Over" screen appears on the rest of the library of games included. Any tips or tricks you can share are greatly appreciated!
